Aladdin Pantomine Trip

On Saturday 16th December the Brownies went to see Aladdin and his Wonderful Lamp starring Stu Francis at the Albert Halls in Bolton.

We sang lots of songs on the way up to Bolton in the coach. When we sat down we each got a packet of sweets and a drink.

Then the Pantomine started - the characters were Wishie Washie, Aladdin, Widow Twankey, PC Ping, PC Pong, Princess Balroubadour, Abanazer, The Emperor, Genie of the Lamp, Slave of the Ring and all the wonderful dancers.

Half way through the performance their was a break and we all had an ice lolly. After this we watched the second half of the the performance.

At the end of the pantomime the actors were out on the corridor with charity buckets and we put some money in them.

Finally the we sang more songs on the way home from Bolton.

All the Brownies had a really good time thanks to Brown Owl, Tawny Owl and Snowy Owl!

Christmas Musical

On Wednesday 13th December the Brownies performed their Christmas Musical, 'A Tale of Two Birthdays'. The story was as follows ...

Old King Casper is celebrating his birthday in fine style, enjoying dancing and entertainment with his friends King Melchior and King Balthazar. Their glamorous wives admire an unusually bright star in the sky and demand their husbands find it!

Trudging across the desert, the three kings resist temptations offered by a band of Herod's soldiers and encounter some sand dancers before reaching the starlit stable.

Time to celebrate another birthday!
